PRINCIPAL'S CORNER

Hello Somerville Elementary/Intermediate School Students and Parents! The 2024-2025 School Year will be my 20th year as an educator. have been blessed to spend all 20 years here at Somerville ISD. I started my career as an ELAR teacher, transitioned into the Elementary Counselor, and I have served as an Assistant Principal.

At the beginning of this school year, I accepted the position as the Campus Principal for the Elementary /Intermediate campus. I am so honored and proud to be a part of the Somerville ISD Family! I am also a proud graduate of Somerville ISD, and I'm grateful to have this opportunity to give back to the community in which I was raised.

What amazes me the most about serving in this district, is the unique and diverse culture of students we have the opportunity to serve. I am truly inspired by the inclusivity our students show towards one another. Their kindness and acceptance create a learning environment where everyone feels valued and supported. This spirit of unity not only enriches our classroom but also prepares our students to thrive in a diverse world.

Somerville ISD is also blessed with an amazing staff. I am deeply grateful for the unwavering dedication and genuine love our teachers and staff consistently demonstrate towards our students. Their passion for education transcends the classroom, fostering an environment where each child feels valued and inspired. This commitment not only shapes academic growth but also nurtures the personal development of every student.

Somerville ISD is excited about our partnerships with our families and the community. We look forward to working together to ensure a smooth and enriching transition for your student, fostering an environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
