Attention Football Fans: We have 55 wristbands for the HS Football Game in Granger on Friday, 9-18-20 at 7 PM! They are FREE and will be issued to those on a "first come, first served basis". They will be available for pick up at the High School Front Office until Friday at 3:30 p.m.!!! Come out and support our Yeguas!

The Jr High football game against Jewett Leon for tomorrow (Thursday 9/10) has been cancelled. Our Jr High team will play next Thursday September 17th here in Somerville at The Rock against Granger!

Cheer is selling 2020 Pink Out shirts along with other Somerville spirit items through September 20th. Please visit our online store at https://somervillespirit.itemorder.com to order with a card. If paying with cash or check, pick up an order form in the High School office between 7:45am and 4pm Monday through Friday. Forms and money are due no later than Friday, September 18th.

Friday's Varsity Football Game Game tickets for parents of all football players can be purchased at the HS starting Wed. Sept. 9th, for $4 each. For all other spectators, tickets will be sold starting on Thurs., Sept. 10th and must be purchase at the HS before 2 p.m. Friday. There are only 115 tickets for the game and will be sold pre-game only. You will not be able to purchase a ticket at the gate. Band will not be traveling to Leon this week for the game. GO YEGUAS!

Tonight, Tuesday, September 8th Our Volleyball Teams will be in Fayetteville. Unfortunately, they are not allowing traveling team visitors. We wish the Junior High, JV, and Varsity teams GOOD LUCK!

YEGUA 6th GRADE FOOTBALL Practice Starts: Tuesday - September 8, 2020 Time: Be there at 6:45 am to get equipment and be on the field at 7am. 6th grade will practice from 7 - 7:35 am and will be released to go to the first period of school. We will practice every day unless told otherwise in advance. What to bring: Make sure you bring a completed physical. You CANNOT practice without it. We will provide all equipment except for cleats. You will be allowed to bring your own water bottle if needed. Where: The Jr high locker room is located in the back beside the track! Numbers - Right now we believe we can accommodate the athletes that have signed up, but if needed, we may possibly have to do a tryout. We are very excited to have the opportunity to allow 6th graders to participate in football! Have a great 3 day weekend, and see you TUESDAY!

Volleyball game tonight starting at 5 p.m., tickets will be sold at the door. Volleyball game in Cameron on Friday, Sept. 4th and all tickets will be sold pre-game only. Tickets are $4 for both adult and students and are being sold at the HS front office.

JR HIGH FOOTBALL PLAYERS NEEDED!

Attention 6th Grade Parents and Students Players Needed for Jr High Football! Right now due to circumstances and with everything going on, we have 7 or 8 openings for 6th grade students to play Jr High football! If we have more than 8 wanting to play, we will have to create a tryout for them. If you are interested in your student athlete playing for the Yeguas Jr High Team, or have any questions regarding practice, or schedule, etc., please contact AD/HFC Cal Neatherlin at the High School 979-596-1534 ext 309 or by email at cneatherlin@somervilleisd.org. Intermediate parents of online students: There are some materials that need to be picked up that go along with the online lessons. These are available to pick up Monday morning. If you would like to have these mailed to you, please call the school at 979-596-1502 or email lbaugus@somervilleisd.org with your child’s name and complete mailing address.

Football tickets are $5 for both adult and children. They will be sold at the gate on game day for tomorrow’s game on Aug. 28th and Sept. 4th. All other home football game tickets will be sold pre-game at the high school.
