All students entering Texas schools require immunizations prior to first-day attendance. Students entering Kindergarten and 7th grade require new/updated immunizations.
Incoming Kindergarten Immunizations required before the first day of school:
-Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis (DTap, DTP, DT, Td, Tdap)
-Polio
-Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
-Varicella (Chicken Pox)
Incoming 7th grader Immunization required before the first day of school:
-Tdap
-Meningococcal (MCV-4)
Make sure your students are up-to-date before school starts! Drop off your immunization records at the Elementary/Intermediate office or email them to aeschete@somervilleisd.org. If you have questions about your student's immunization record, please contact the district nurse, Amie Eschete at 979-596-1502.
The start of the 23-24 school year is right around the corner. Registration for new and returning students will open on August 16th through the Parent Portal. All students must be registered before school starts on August 28th. If you are enrolling a new student please be sure you turn your required documents in at the High School office. Parents with returning students should update all information for your student while you are registering.
We will offer registration assistance on August 16th and August 17th from 8am-7pm at the High School if you need help or computer access to complete registration.

Our elementary kids enjoyed volleyball and basketball camp today. There are two days left for any current 2nd-6th graders that would like to join Coach Ellis and Coach Preston!
Boys and Girls 1st-6th grade please attend the Basketball and Volleyball youth camps tomorrow and Thursday at the HS gym. Camp will be from 10-12. Sign up in the gym before camp starts. All Somerville students are welcome.

Texas State Solo and Ensemble Results:
Congratulations to four Somerville High School Band members for receiving a first-division rating at the Texas State UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest. Keyanah Crowl, Jena Foster, Aleena Isom, and Wendy Perez received gold medals for performing a saxophone quartet called "Just For Show" by Lennie Niehaus. Judge's comments included "careful on the solos to keep the swinging style going", "there are a lot of positive things about your performance", "good job and congratulations", "Bravo!".
The contest was held on Monday, May 29th at Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville.
Our Floral students are in an assembly line working on senior roses for graduation!
