Thanks to a very generous donation of apples, over the past 2 days Culinary Arts students have been hard at work making various apple desserts. Some of the highlights were apple cobblers, apple fritters, apple cakes, and of course apple pie. Here are some of the staff enjoying the fruits of their labors!

(TUESDAY & THURSDAY Tutorial Bus Route) UPDATED: Bus Route 1. 4:45 p.m. – Elementary Bus Circle 2. 4:50 p.m. – Feed Store. Travel across railroad tracks on FM 1361 (Baker Hwy.) and make loop around first block. 3. 5:00 p.m. – Anita Heights pick up at Rio Grande Street 4. 5:15 p.m. – Lyons behind Post Office 5. 5:00 p.m. – Somerville Place entrance on Park Road 4 6. 5:20 p.m. – Freedom Ranch 7. 5:25 p.m. - PR 57 @ Tater’s Place- No subdivision drop-offs 8. 5:35 p.m. – Kovasovic’s Store parking lot NOTE: Buses will drop off students at designated stops only and times are approximate. Somerville ISD tutorials are aimed at raising student performance. Your assistance in having your child participate is greatly needed. Please make arrangements to pick up participating students at one of the drop off points indicated above nearest you. Tutorials will be from 3:45-4:45. This is an opportunity to give small group prescriptive help to our students. Please refrain from picking your child up early, it is critical that they take advantage of this time.

Attention Somerville Football Parents and Fans: Homecoming tickets will be on sale tomorrow, 10-21-20 at the Somerville High School Front Office from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday until sold out. The tickets are $5.00 for adults & students. Ticket sales will be limited to 4 tickets per person. Homecoming Game: Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 7PM!

Congratulations to Aleena Isom for placing third in the ATSSB All-Region 18/26 Jazz Band try-outs this past Saturday, October 17th.. This was a recorded audition and Aleena competed with four other tenor saxophone players from Caldwell, Giddings, Lexington, and Taylor. Way to go Aleena. Due to the effects of Covid 19, this is a "paper" band only, since there will not be a live performance.

Ramaya Carter 14:26 8th place!! > Varsity boys (3 miles) Javen Henderson 23:11 Jaret Pinkerton 24:28 I am so grateful and proud of our runners. They did an amazing job at Lexington. I Scream, You Scream, we all Scream for ICE CREAM!!! Ice cream will be sold tomorrow, Friday 10-16-20 in the cafeteria for $1.00 during each lunch period!

JH Football Update: All JH Games will be kept on the same dates except the last game against Milano. JH Football vs Milano will be played on Nov 3rd at 530PM in Milano!
