SISD is seeing an increase in cases of influenza in the intermediate grades. Please monitor your students for symptoms. If your student has a fever greater than 100.0 or any other flu-like symptoms, they must remain home until fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medications and improvement of flu-like symptoms. Our SISD HealthPoint Clinic is open Monday-Friday 7:30a-4:00p, located behind the SISD Admin building. Contact them for an appointment at 979-596-5840. Don't forget that you can pre-register your child with the SISD HealthPoint Clinic which allows them to be taken to the clinic by the school nurse, with parental consent, and evaluated quickly and efficiently by the HealthPoint team. Visit the school website and follow the HealthPoint links for the registration packet. https://www.somervilleisd.org/o/somerville-isd/page/health-point

Tonight's basketball games will be hosted at home with game times of 5pm, 6pm and 7:30pm. Come out and support your Yeguas Basketball teams!

Somerville ISD will have a delayed start on Wedensday, January 17, 2024 and begin school at 10:00 a.m. Bus routes will run approximately 2 1/2 hours later than their normal morning scheduled route. No student breakfasts will be served, but lunches will begin at normal times. Please drop students off no earlier than 9:30 at their regular campus. Please be careful when traveling and stay warm!

Due to the hazardous road conditions that are expected to continue in our area, Somerville ISD will be closed on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. All extra-curricular activities for Tuesday will be canceled as well.

The Brazos Valley area will have a warming center available to community members with the upcoming cold weather threatening power outages.

Yegua Athletics would like to wish each and every one of you a safe and Happy New Year!

From our Yegua Athletic Family to yours, we want to wish each of you a safe and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Hello Yeguas!
Please see the attached flyer regarding the Somerville ISD HealthPoint clinic hours during the holidays. Also, suppose you have not pre-registered your student with our onsite HealthPoint clinic. In that case, you can access the registration paperwork by clicking this link: https://www.somervilleisd.org/o/somerville-isd/page/health-point or going to the main Somerville ISD website and clicking the HealthPoint button. Pre-registering your students allows them to be seen, with parental permission, by our onsite HealthPoint clinic quickly and efficiently. Our first semester with our clinic has been tremendous for our students and staff!
Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM OUR VERY OWN SUGAR PLUM FAIRY! Thanks, Officer Brown for bringing smiles to our little yeguas' faces @ the Elementary Campus!

Varsity Boys Tournament in Caldwell (Kolache Capital Invitational): SOMERVILLE 2nd PLACE! Way to go Yeguas!

Mrs. Carolyn Doonan and Mr. Time Zaskoda of the Burleson County Go-Texan Committee attended the FFA Christmas Luncheon on Dec 18, 2023, to talk to the seniors about the area Go-Texan Scholarships and Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship deadlines. Eight seniors received information packets and had an opportunity to ask questions. A big thank you to them for coming out and supporting our students.

It was a magical morning in Pre-K today! For 8 years one of Santa's helpers (also known as Mrs. Webb's dad) has given blankets to every child in Pre-K! Today was blanket delivery day and the students were so excited to open their new cozy blankets! We are so grateful for this sweet tradition that has blessed so many over the years! Merry Christmas!
