The University of Texas representative spoke with Somerville High School seniors during lunch today. She shared information about the many degree plans, various campuses and student life.

4th at State Fair of Texas in a large class of Santa Gertrudis heifers.. 11th Grader-Jalynn Urbanosky!


The Culinary Classes were able to participate in a virtual demonstration from Chef Paola Tello. She demonstrated how to make Ratatouille Galette with Red Pepper Sauce. She also discussed her career and information about Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts.





Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union: Saturday, October 29th from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Congratulations to the Yegua Band on making a division 1 at the 18/26 Regional Marching Contest in Giddings. They are one step closer to the State Marching Contest.
They will next compete on October 29th in Bastrop, the time to be determined


Our Juniors and Seniors had lunch with Mr. Roy Lopez, Texas A&M Admissions Representative. Mr. Lopez spoke about admissions, transfers, majors and other valuable information the students should know for college preparation.

Our Cross Country Team has advanced to regionals! Way to go Runnin' Yeguas!!
Monday, October 24, 2022, at Corpus Christi (TAMU)!

Members of FCCLA (Family, Career, Community, Leaders of America) from Livingston ISD spoke to students about the benefits of FCCLA. FCCLA is formally known as FHA.
The students are also Region 4 Officers. Present from Livingston ISD were teachers: Cayla Young and Kristi Gann. Students: Yesenia Anguino, Emma Bradley, and Cole Gann
Students participated in making cards for the Ronald McDonald House, teamwork activity of stacking cups, and a communication activity (putting a puzzle together while blindfolded).
To become a member of FCCLA students must have taken or are currently taking Introduction to Culinary, Culinary Arts, or Advanced Culinary (Grades 8-12). Dues are $20.
