We are thrilled to invite you to our second Workforce Series this Wednesday at 5:30 PM in the high school library. This session will offer valuable tips on resume writing and editing, as well as provide information on job search tools and resources. Feel free to share this with anyone who might be interested in attending. These workshops are presented in collaboration with the Burleson Chamber of Commerce and Workforce Solutions to support our Somerville community.

Boys Basketball Game Cancelled: December 3rd. They will be in a Fayetteville Tournament on December 5th & 6th in Fayetteville.

Attention All Yeguas!
We are excited to announce that we will provide a fan bus for our football playoff game vs. Junction this Friday! The bus will depart from the Somerville admin building at 3:00 on Friday and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students 13 years or younger must have an adult accompanying them. Any SISD student not accompanied by a parent must complete a field trip permission form, which can obtained on-site prior to leaving for Pflugerville. The fan bus will also be available to the public who may wish to ride as well. Any adult riding the fan bus must bring their driver's license so that they can be checked in before boarding the bus, and it is recommended that you arrive no later than 2:45. Please be advised that all participants riding the bus are responsible for purchasing their ticket. If you would like to be guaranteed a spot on the fan bus, please email nstevens@somervilleisd.org, cyoung@somervilleisd.org, or eholton@somervilleisd.org by noon on Friday. In your email, you will need to provide your name and the names/ages of anyone else riding with you on the fan bus. THSCA, District, and Senior passes accepted. Many already know, however, the stage is set for Round 3!!! On FRIDAY, November 29th, your Yeguas will travel to Pfield in Pflugerville to take on the Junction Eagles at 6pm! Your Yeguas will be the HOME team in BLACK. Tickets will be online for $6. THSCA, District and Senior Citizens passes will all be accepted! We will let you know more information about possible streaming and the stadiums' clear bag policy as we receive it!

At 1:45pm your Yeguas load the bus to head to Palacios ISD’s Shark Stadium to take on the Ben Bolt Badgers at 7pm. Somerville will be the visiting team in White while the Badgers will be wearing Blue. Your Yeguas will be looking to make history tonight by becoming only the 2nd team ever to practice football over Thanksgiving break and advance to Round 3! We cannot wait to see y’all there!
Tickets can be purchased online through Hometown ticketing. As far as we know the game will NOT be streamed tonight.
We had some celebrities join us in the car rider line! Our own Bi-District Champs and Area Bound Yeguas welcomed our Little Yeguas this morning. Thank you, boys. We are cheering for you! GOOD LUCK TONIGHT!!!
We will open our Yegua Spirit Store tomorrow, Nov. 22nd for our Area Round Playoff Game! Wear your favorite Yegua gear from home and join us for face painting, stickers, tattoos, and more! We will also have an early release at 1:30 on Friday, November 22nd!! Help us cheer on our Yeguas!
Thank you to Dr. Ames and Ms. Noemi from Bluebonnet Pediatric Dentistry in Brenham for coming to speak to our Pre-Kindergarten through 4th-grade classes today. The students learned about caring for their teeth and were given oral hygiene kits to take home. Dr. Ames, Bad Breath Bob, teachers, and students participated in the presentation. Thank you again Dr. Ames for taking the time to come and teach our students!
Yegua Nation is invited to Yegua Stadium tomorrow, November 21 at 6 pm to help us celebrate the varsity football team's Bi-District win over D'hanis and help prepare them to face the Ben Bolt Badgers. The Varsity Yegua Cheerleaders and the Award Winning Yegua Band will bring the performances and spirit! Come out and join us in this fun night of cheer!
