Our Elementary 2nd/3rd/4th Graders are busy tracking their progress on their iReady Lessons! Each student can earn a leaf or animal to add to our forest trees for completing iReady lessons. Ask your child about their progress! Way to go 2nd/3rd/4th graders!

Yesterday, each of our seniors had the opportunity of having the teacher who made the biggest impact on their life, during their time in high school, wear their jersey. Teachers, THANK YOU. Thank you for supporting, pushing and believing in these seniors day in and day out. They wouldn't be where they are today if you had not help mold their lives. Even though sometimes your efforts may seem to go unnoticed, the impact you have made will continue to last. Once again, THANK YOU!

We have a Family Engagement/Open House Tonight! We look forward to seeing you at the campuses! Also, we will have ROOMS Support in the Elementary Front Office. The SISD App that our teachers use to contact parents/send out information to students! It is a great tool to have for easy access to grades and your student's teacher!

As a reminder, there will be no HS football game this week due to McDade forfeiting their game this Friday. Instead, the Somerville JH football will play Mcdade JH on Friday, November 1, at 6:00 p.m. at Yegua Stadium. Pre-game activities will include recognizing the cheer and football seniors and parents beginning at 5:40. The Yegua Band will perform their marching band routine during halftime of the JH game, and immediately after their halftime performance the band students and parents will be recognized. Our up-and-coming Yegua band members in the 6th grade will also join us for this game. Come out and support all of our current and future Yeguas this Friday!

Yegua Family, This week, our National Honor Society will kick off the “Yegua for a Cure fundraiser.” We will have a class competition to help support our cause. The class raising the most money between 10/21 and 10/31 will celebrate with a pizza party. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. We will also be decorating and displaying ribbons across campus to show our support. We hope you will join us in honoring our loved ones and fighting for a cure!
