Jicama is a root vegetable from Mexico. It is sometimes called the Mexican potato or yam bean. Jicama is brown on the outside, creamy white on the inside, oblong in shape, and quite large, similar to an oversized potato. Jicama has a crisp texture inside, similar to an apple, and is quite starchy.
We are having Jicama for lunch today!!! Ask your child how they liked it!

• As a Team we placed 6th out of 25 at regionals.
• Jesus Espinosa had an outstanding day and placed 3rd in his weight class qualifying for state.
• Caden Espinosa also had an outstanding day placing 3rd and qualifying for state. Caden also won Most Outstanding Dead Lifter as he Broke the Regional Record with a 540 pound deadlift.
• Last but not least, Herschel Conway. Herschel showed out! He placed 1st in his weight class and qualified for State. He also set the regional Record for Bench in his weight class. And almost broke the regional record for Total Pounds, which is held by Yegua alumni Verkobe Woodberry.
